Do you like challenges and working with kids? Then, this is an opportunity for you.
Queen Anne Elementary is looking for mentors for its First Annual Science Fair. We are calling all graduate students interested in leading a team of 4th and 5th grade students. Mentors will work with their teams for two to four hours a week, on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoons for ten weeks.
As a mentor you will guide your students in conducting research on a specific topic, formulating hypothesis, designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. Most importantly, you will help them to create an interactive presentation of their findings.
The First Queen Anne Elementary Science Fair will take place on the evening of April 9th. The projects will also be presented to the entire school on April 10th.
Mentors commit to two days per week, from February 9th to April 10th.
Come share your passion for science, inspire students to be creative and curious while having fun!
