UW African Student Association organizes vigil in solidarity with attack at Kenyan University

The students, faculty and community members of the University of Washington would like to send their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims of the terrorist attack in Garissa, Kenya. As members of a higher learning institute, we are horrified and devastated by the loss of 147 lives— mainly college students like many of us.

On Thursday, all communities are welcomed as we are gathering to mourn their lives and stand in solidarity with Kenyans everywhere. Together, we can send a strong message of solidarity to our sisters and brothers dealing with the aftermath of this tragic event.

Please join us and share this with friends and family members who would like to attend. You do not have to be affiliated with Kenya/African community to show your support.
